dreamfacta – ai 愛 άη (άη άη άη) (ai ai ai)
—–
Installation / Composition: (red thread, clothing, video installation, ceramic elements, candles, cloakroom).
DESCRIPTION:
The meaning of exclamations is that they have been declaring for centuries a certain sorrow, a direct expression of emotions, they constitute one of the oldest elements of human communication.
dreamfacta, as an art shaman, is a multi dimensional creator, where through his study of archetypes, symbols and his involvement in the field of bio energy healing, he began to create and reclaim the modern concept of rituality and ”living in the present” (now ness).
In this hybrid work, he progresses from the inner part of thought to the point of external identity through ”tools” where over the centuries (masks, clothing) have not only contributed to the part of material survival but also to that of expression and the search for identity.
The archetypes, as he tells us, are concepts that are recycled through time and together within these cycles they evolve, change intensities and are very similar to the cycle of evolution of the soul.
the work projects a hybrid ”bubble”, a group of symbols and concepts that are linked by starting point to ”Eros”, an entity (archetype) which according to Orphics is one of the primary archetypes.
Concepts such as Chaos, Dionysus, Apollo, Flow, Heart, Performance, theater, expression, trickster as well as many others that convey similar intensities of need for union and expression of the ego and its connection with the whole.
In the composition, the ”metaphor” of the mask of Dionysus was a tool in ancient theater and described the ”chorus” as an expression of the whole ( the public -common opinion) but also the reference to the red thread of fate where it comes from oriental, Asian beliefs and mythology create the boundaries of this conceptual ”bubble”.
The initial idea came from the observation and need that the ”digital” and remote need for communication and connection has brought, where people now tend to replace punctuation marks and exclamation points with the corresponding symbols ”emoticons.”
The question, observation or question that arises is how literally or figuratively we can translate symbols that express emotions but are not words. When we translate the world with a ”logical” almost ”robotic” or programmed thought.
How does the heart hear the connection, when it speaks with ”images” and symbols” and what keeps all of this connected or ”glued”.
